Render each page of a PDF into images for sharing, embedding in web pages, or making covers. This guide explains how to balance page selection, resolution, and format.

When do you use "PDF to Image"?

When you need to use a page of a PDF as an image: sending it in chat apps, inserting it into slides, illustrating an article, or showing content where PDF is not supported.

Selecting the pages to export

After upload every page gets a thumbnail, and all pages are selected by default. You can check pages one by one, or use "Select all / Select none / Invert selection" to adjust quickly and export only the pages you need.

How to choose the scale multiplier?

The multiplier determines the rendering resolution: 1× is roughly screen-reading sharpness, 2× suits general sharing and illustration, 3× is for printing or cases that need enlarging.

Higher multipliers mean more pixels, larger files, and slower processing. In most cases 2× is already enough.

PNG, JPG, or WebP?

PNG: lossless, suitable for text, charts, and line art. Larger files but the sharpest edges.

JPG: small size, suitable for photo-heavy pages, no transparent background support.

WebP: balances size and quality, suitable for the web.

FAQ

Is the PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Rendering happens entirely locally in your browser, and the file never leaves your device.
Can encrypted PDFs be converted?
A PDF that requires a password to open cannot be parsed directly and reports an encryption error. Remove the password protection first, then convert.
Will the exported images be blurry?
PDF is a vector format, so raising the scale multiplier gives higher-resolution images. Higher multipliers are sharper but produce larger files.
Can only some pages be exported?
Yes. Check the pages you need in the page thumbnails, then click "Export selected pages".
