When do you use "Image to PDF"?
It is most useful when you need to send or archive a set of images as one file: contracts, receipts, or ID photos taken with a phone, or multiple design drafts compiled into one page-flippable document.
The benefit of PDF is that it renders with the same layout on every device, unlike a list of images where the order easily gets messed up.
Page size: A4 or original size?
A4: every page is a uniform A4 sheet, images are scaled proportionally and centered. Suitable for documents that need printing or binding.
Original size: the page size follows the aspect ratio of each image, so images are not surrounded by margins. Suitable for pure on-screen reading.
- For printing → choose A4, and pick portrait or landscape based on the content
- For on-screen reading only → choose original size for a cleaner look
Orientation and margins
Orientation only applies to A4 size: landscape suits wide screenshots and horizontal photos, portrait suits documents and vertical images.
Margins are measured in pt (1 pt ≈ 1/72 inch); a value of 0 makes images flush with the page edge. A small margin (such as 18–36) looks more like a formal document and prints more comfortably.
Adjusting the page order
After files are added to the list, you can drag the file rows or click the ↑ ↓ buttons on each row to adjust the order — the list order is the page order of the PDF.
